EMS Provider Opens Design Center
April 10, 2007 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
SANTA BARBARA, Calif. Design Solutions, Inc. (DSI), opened Design Solutions GmbH, a design center in Munich, Germany. The center will host engineering, design, simulation, and prototype-manufacturing, and will include a high-level FPGA and ASIC development group.
Stefan Dragomir, software manager, will oversee the German branch. The company plans to expand by locating design and engineering centers in global "technology hubs," said Sean O'Neil, president and CEO, and leveraging low-cost areas for engineering work. O'Neil states that German is the fifth largest technology market with the second highest cost structure globally. DSI also maintains facilities in the U.S. and Romania.
