Equipment Supplier Opens China Base
April 4, 2007 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
CLEVELAND, Ohio Technical Machine Products (TMP) established a China operation to assemble, test, and service its hydraulic presses and laminator product lines for PCB production industries. The company will continue to produce custom-built machines at its Cleveland factory.
The facility is reportedly necessary to complete new orders for PCB lamination molding, such as high-temperature hydraulic vacuum lamination presses, automatic load/unload, and accumulation stations. Manufacturing PCB lamination machines in China lowers production costs, and offers the company an Asian base, said Ted Soberay, president.
TMP sources parts and machinery from various Asian partners; these components will be integrated at the Yiyang City, China; and U.S. facilities. The China facility will house technical support staff and manufacturing.
