March 12, 2007 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
LE ROY, N.Y. Nortec Inc. appointed three manufacturing representatives for its harsh-environment identification products, and introduced a label targeting automated assembly environments.
The company will be represented by N.H.-based Microelectronic Systems Distributors (MSD) in New England, covering Maine, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Vermont, and New Hampshire.
Aligned Solutions, Inc., a joint venture of KDF Company and WRR & Associates, will represent the company throughout western Pennsylvania, Ohio, West Virginia, and Kentucky. Aligned operates out of Cincinnati, Cleveland, and Pittsburg, and has been serving the industry since 1976.
In Florida, Nortec appointed The EMC3 Group, a sales representative firm that sells new and used SMT and semiconductor equipment and materials. It services eastern and western Florida from two offices, and has operated for more than 17 years.
Noretec is also introducing a clear polyester liner label comparable to polyimide and Kapton, according to the company. The CPL827 is rigid enough for automated assembly and withstands temperatures up to 300°C. Available in green, yellow, and white, it is approved by Hover-Davis (Rochester, N.Y.) for use with its label feeders. The design is said to eliminate oozing.
