SMTA Announces Itinerary for Medical Electronics Symposium

BLOOMINGTON, Min. The SMTA announced its keynote speaker and other scheduled events of the 4th annual SMTA Medical Electronics Symposium, May 13 in Bloomington, Minn. The symposium will focus on medical device technology, legal perspectives of manufacturers, reliability, components, and advanced applications, as well as trends and new initiatives.
It will begin with a half-day workshop featuring Craig Hillman of DfR Solutions and Mike Silverman of Ops Ala Carte. They will discuss highly accelerated life testing (HALT) versus accelerated life testing (ALT), failure and root-cause analysis, and specifications for medical electronics.
Christopher Chavez, president of Advanced Neuromodulation Systems, a St. Jude company, will keynote the symposium with "Neuromodulation Approaching the Tipping Point."
SMTA will also host a tabletop exhibition at the show on the 2nd. Network opportunities will occur throughout the symposium. For more information view our Events page.
