Applied Coating Systems Selects Nippon Fusso

BALTIMORE Nippon Fusso will transfer technology and materials to Applied Coating Systems, Inc. (Baltimore), for fluoropolymer coating operations in the U.S., under an exclusive technical agreement. Nippon Fusso recently closed its Hayward, Calif., operations and consolidated in Japan and Korea.
Applied Coating Systems will use the Nippon Fusso agreement to serve U.S.-based customers. Both companies announced that the transition will benefit all customers, as Applied Coating Systems will serve Nippon Fusso's customer base, as well as its own. Services include design consultancy, surface preparation and coating application, assembly and final inspection, etc. Applied Coating Systems operates a 65,000 sq.ft. plant with robotics and task-specific facilities for surface integrity, performance coatings, and corrosion protection on military, micro-processing, and industrial applications.
