Magnetic Board Tracks Maintenance
February 14, 2007 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
MACEDON, N.Y. To enable production facilities to maintain and review a preventative-maintenance schedule for machines, Magnatag Visible Systems released the Maintenance Master whiteboard system. The whiteboard and magnet system displays a year's schedule of preventative maintenance for up to 180 machines.
Color-coded magnets identify a week's assignments, allowing proactive scheduling and monitoring of systems on the production line, vehicles, and other equipment in a facility, according to Magnatag. The boards are available for 66, 90, or 180 machines. Each preventative-maintenance scheduler includes write-on tools and hundreds of multi-colored magnets with 0.5" printed grid lines, which align with machines listed on the board.
The system displays daily and multi-week projects as well as machine down-time. An optional visible file aligns with the board and holds two years' worth of daily maintenance history cards for each machine on production lines.
