HUDSON, N.H. The SMTA Boston Chapter will host an evening of presentations on lead-free assembly at Benchmark Electronics in Hudson, N.H., on January 23.
The Spring 2007 session will include a social dinner, an introduction to the SMTA's upcoming schedule, and three presentations. An overview of the New England Lead-free Electronics Consortium, by Greg Morose of the Toxic Users Reduction Institute, will highlight completed phases and the agenda for upcoming Phase 4. Morose and Bob Farrell, advanced development engineer for Benchmark's corporate lead-free team, will present a case study on lead-free implementation. Focusing on the mechanics of lead-free assembly, Tom Buck of DDI will speak on laminate materials and reliability issues for lead-free electronics.
