Digi-Key Expands with Winbond America, CR Magnetics

THIEF RIVER FALLS, Minn.; SAN JOSE, Calif.; and ST. LOUIS, Mo. Digi-Key Corporation will expand an existing distribution agreement with Winbond Electronics Corporation America to include Europe. The distributor will also begin selling CR Magnetics Inc. globally.
Winbond supplies semiconductor solutions to consumer, computer, communications, and electronics market segments. The San Jose, Calif.-based company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Winbond Electronics Corporation in Taiwan. Europe represents an area of fast growth for Digi-Key, remarked Mark Larson, president and COO of the company.
CR Magnetics is a relay, transformer, sensor, and transducer manufacturer. Digi-Key will distribute their products to about 140 countries as part of the supplier partnership. CR Magnetics is based in St. Louis, Mo., and manufactures sensor solutions for various industries
