Morey Corporation Invests in Innovation

WOODRIDGE, Ill. Expanding on its engineering and test capabilities, Morey Corporation will break ground on its 26,300-square-foot, two-story technical research center the Richard R. Morey Innovation Center. The facility, which will be built in 2007, will be located adjacent to the company's headquarters, and will expand on Morey's telematics, control, and display product lines and services.
"Morey continues to provide technology-based growth to the local economy," said Scott Morey, president, Morey Corporation. "Our Innovation Center will also provide dozens of high-quality careers in the community including process engineers who will show customers how products are developed and created, as well as how they are made."
"Historically, Morey has been viewed as a hardened electronics manufacturer for industry leading companies," said Keith Gelinas, vice president of sales and marketing for the company. "This center will significantly enhance our engineering capabilities, delivering innovative telematics and leading-edge products." The center will feature design laboratories, rapid prototype manufacturing facilities, and expanded testing capabilities.
A groundbreaking ceremony involving community, trade, and government representatives, is scheduled for Monday, October 2, 2006, at 10:00 a.m. An architectural model of the Innovation Center will be unveiled at the ceremony. For more information on the Morey Corporation, visit www.moreycorp.com.
