15,000th Assembly Machine Sold
June 19, 2006 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
MORRISVILLE, N.C. A celebration in Japan marks the sale of 15,000 SMT Assembly machines from Juki Automation. Juki introduced its first pick-and-place machine in 1987, and credits the milestone sale to reliability and low cost of ownership, says president and CEO Bob Black. Juki's ability to provide flexibility to its customers helped drive sales, adds Black, with Juki shipping more than 200 units per monthmost of which are installed in China.
Juki is producing a sixth generation of modular machines and plans to introduce a next-generation family this year. They will exhibit at SEMICON West 2006, booth 8011.
