Temperature Control Can Extend Tip Life
June 16, 2006 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
PLANO, Texas The Solderite 3500 lead-free soldering station features remote-controlled temperature programming, automatic tip-temperature compensation, stand-by mode, automatic off functions, and a quick calibration mode for testing the tip temperature. Preset temperature selection can vary as needed. The stand-by and off functions, referred to as "power on demand per demand," are designed to preserve and extend the life of the electroplated soldering tip.
Patents on Solderite's machine were filed for the sole purpose of designing a RoHS-compliant soldering station.
