Henkel Asia-Pacific Operations Undergo Personnel Changes
April 12, 2006 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
IRVINE, Calif. — Some strategic organizational appointments at the electronics group of Henkel's Asia-Pacific operations aim to propel the company's growth in that region, particularly in delivering advanced technology solutions for high-volume production applications.
Tilo Weiss, Ph.D., now serves as Asia-Pacific regional manager, having previously served as president of SusTech, a Henkel joint venture. Weiss has been with Henkel's business development team for the past six years; in his new role, he will be based in Henkel's Shanghai, China facility, and will have management responsibility for sales, marketing, and technical service.
Leading sales efforts throughout Asia is Roger Dieu, who recently served as director of global account business development for the electronics group of Henkel, and was responsible for the direction of the Greater China business and management of the region. Having been in China since 1997, Dieu will relocate to Singapore for his new role.
Gary Shi, Ph.D., former technical manager for Henkel's semiconductor packaging and assembly liquid products, will relocate to Henkel's Yantai, China, facility as technical director, in which he will oversee expansion of Henkel's research, development, and engineering functions. Shi's appointment aims to further support the Asia-Pacific customer base through developing new materials for emerging technical requirements, and easing technology transfer between the Yantai manufacturing operations and other Henkel global facilities.
