Mobile Services Allow Capability Testing On-site
April 12, 2006 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
HUDSON, N.H. — Mobile metrology service from CeTaQ Americas brings machine capability analysis (MCA) testing and verification services to the manufacturer's facility, and performs equipment verification services and analysis on-site. This portability is said to bring accuracy and immediate solutions to an out-of-control process or an out-of-calibration production machine.
CeTaQ Americas' hardware and software quality tools analyze machine capability, checking basic settings and functions of equipment to identify, control, and correct failures. This enables production machines to assemble product within the original quality specifications established by the manufacturer, and live components used in product assemblies are used in the analyses. Each verified system is then labelled with an informational decal that documents that the machine's performance has been verified by CeTaQ Americas. MCA testing particularly suits lead-free processing, where printing, placement, and other accuracies are critical to maintaining high yields and low defect levels. The mobile metrology unit also includes a stencil that works with the mobile unit's 'smart' camera to evaluate printer accuracy.
