Bob Solomon joined StratEdge (San Diego) as senior account manager. Solomon brings with him engineering, design and development, and sales knowledge in the semiconductor, telecom, medical, aerospace, and defense industries. He will be in charge of the company’s DC to 50+ GHz packages and assembly and test services.
Garbsen, Germany-based COMET appointed Jens Kühhirt to head of technical services for the FEINFOCUS business unit. Kühhirt will be responsible for service, applications, repair, and training. Prior to this position, he was president of a large engineering service firm.
Lyle Sherwood joined Landrex Technologies (Santa Clara, Calif.) as sales and marketing manager for North America and Europe. Sherwood will offer marketing and sales support, management of local distributors and reps, and customer training and support for the company’s AOI systems.
Enthone Inc., a business division of Cookson Electronics, appointed Kent Lindsay to sales engineer, PWB Chemistry. Lindsay will provide sales and product support to California- and Arizona-based customers. He is based out of Anaheim, Calif.
Los Alamitos, Calif.-based Practical Components named NPF DiPaul (St. Petersburg, Russia) as its distributor throughout the Russian Federation. NPF DiPaul will represent Practical Component’s line of surface mount device (SMD) production tools and equipment.
To head up the Latin American region for AOI and X-ray products, YESTech, Inc. (San Clemente, Calif.) appointed Giancarlo De La Garza to Latin America sales manager, reporting to vice president of sales, Troy Johnson. De La Garza will oversee four sales representatives, each located in Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, and Spain.
