Schmidt RFID, Cogiscan Team to Offer RFID Solutions in Asia
February 6, 2006 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
HONG KONG and BROMONT, Canada — Schmidt Electronics Group and Cogiscan have formed a long-term strategic partnership, in which SchmidtRFID, a division of Schmidt Electronics Group, will offer the complete range of Cogiscan RFID solutions in Asia.
With the Cogiscan product line additions, SchmidtRFID now offers end-to-end RFID solutions, starting with closed-loop factory automation and later taking things further into global supply chain applications. The first phase of RFID implementation includes tracking, tracing, and controlling all materials and tools on the shop floor, accelerating deployment and ROI for SchmidtRFID's customers and providing a roadmap to extend RFID applications from the production floor to the warehouse and the supply chain.
"This is a very important and strategic partnership for Cogiscan," Francois Monette, Cogiscan's vice president of sales and marketing. "We know that there is a strong need for our technology in this market, but we also recognize that the large manufacturers in Asia prefer to buy this type of system from a large and well-established local system provider."
