February 3, 2006 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
IRVINE, Calif. — Henkel Corporation's electronics group appointed Gordon Fischer, Ph.D., to vice president of sales, marketing, and technical services for the Americas. In this position, Fischer will lead the Americas sales team, manage the company's marketing plan, and direct the technical service infrastructure for Henkel's semiconductor and PCBA products.
Among Fischer's goals in this new position are the continued expansion of Henkel's presence among OEM and EMS firms, sharing lead-free research and process knowledge with customers, and promoting the company's approach to materials-set development for the semiconductor packaging market. Fischer previously held the position of global director of product management for the company's semiconductor business, and has 15 years experience in the industry. He has held several R&D positions throughout this professional career with such companies as Dow Corning and Rohm and Haas.
