Voltage-controlled Saw Oscillator Features True SineWave Output
January 20, 2006 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
FORT MYERS, Fla. — The CVCSO-914-1000 1-GHz voltage-controlled saw oscillator (VCSO) from Crystek Crystals Corp. uses FR5 PCB and SAW crystal technology to provide a low-noise, low-jitter VCSO with true SineWave output, resulting in -135 dBc/Hz phase noise at 10-KHz offset.
Available in a 9 × 14-mm SMT package, CVCSO-914-1000 uses a 5-V supply and generates a true SineWave with 7-dBm min. output power and ±50-ppm min. APR pullability. It has no sub-harmonics; its second harmonic is -20 dBc typical. Operating temperature range is -20°–70°C. Applications include PLL frequency translation; test and measurement; avionics; point-to-point, multi-point radios; and telecom.
