'06 Designers Summit Caters to PCB Designers
December 7, 2005 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
BANNOCKBURN, Ill. — IPC–Association Connecting Electronics Industries' and its Designers Council's fourth annual IPC Designers Summit targets PCB designers, and will take place February 5–11, 2006, in conjunction with IPC Printed Circuits Expo and APEX, in Anaheim, Calif. PCB designers can obtain information on the latest technologies, such as embedded passives, lead-free materials, design-for-manufacture, high-speed design, and bare die.
Designer Day, taking place February 7th, will cover such topics as the future of the U.S. design industry, preparing for design challenges, a lead-free overview, building a lead-free component library, PCB design discontinuities and panel discussions. On February 4–5, designers who wish to become Certified Interconnect Designers (C.I.D.) and Advanced Certified Interconnect Designers (C.I.D. +) can also participate in workshops and exams. Attendees also are encouraged to meet with suppliers, manufacturers and OEMs who influence design choices at the show's free keynote sessions, show floor reception, free forums and gala, which will feature the designers den, an area where designers can network with their peers. For more information, please visit dc.ipc.org/Summit, or contact Nate Fitt, technical coordinator, at (847) 597-2827 or NateFitt@ipc.org.
