October 17, 2005 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
STOCKHOLM, Sweden — MYDATA automation AB introduced its MY-Series Extended (E) model to the European market. The model, which initially launched at APEX 2005 in Anaheim, Calif., reportedly handles a range of components at high speed on a variety of board sizes.
The MY-Series E's features include a new high-speed Hydra Extended Range (ER) mounthead for placing 01005 to 15 × 15-mm components, T3 internal conveyor and the latest version of the TPSys operating software. Linear drive technology on the Y-module is said to allow for faster acceleration, higher accuracy and improved board transfer times. To be made available in MYDATA's MY9E, MY12E, MY15E and MY19E sizes, all include a Linescan camera, which enables accurate, high-speed mounting of 01005s to QFPs and BGAs.
