Shielded SMD Inductors Provide EMI Protection in Filtering
August 23, 2005 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
ROMOLAND, Calif. — The low-profile DR363 and DR364 Series surface mount inductors from Datatronic Distribution, Inc., provide protection against challenging EMI problems in high-current applications. Available in a wide range of inductance values, they feature a seated profile as low as 3.0 mm above the board, making them ideal for high-density circuit board designs. The inductors provide EMI circuit protection for DC/DC converters and DSC, DVC and PDAs, and are also useful in handheld, portable or smaller equipment. Inductance ranges from 2.0 to 150 µH, and operating frequency ranges from 10 KHz to 1 MHz. DCR ranges from 19.2 to 738 Ω maximum and maximum current rating is from 0.31 to 5.41 A. Operating temperature range is from -20° to 85°C. Their flat top surface makes them compatible with high-speed pick-and-place assembly equipment, and they are also suitable for high-temperature soldering.
