Linear-motion Miniature Slides Offer Compact Solution
June 6, 2005 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
BETHLEHEM, Pa. — SKF Motion Technologies' Type LZM miniature slides are well-suited for linear-motion applications that require short strokes and minimal space for system components. Available in four basic sizes (7, 9, 12 and 15) with widths from 17 to 32 mm and lengths from 26 to 165 mm, their stainless-steel composition resists corrosion. Depending on the application, 2-µ running accuracies over a 100-mm stroke can be achieved. Unlike cross-roller systems using four rails and cages to be assembled on a production floor, these slides can mount into place without using precision devices to set preload.
