Celestica Names New President for Europe

TORONTO, Ontario, Canada — Celestica has recently appointed James Rowan to president for Celestica Europe. He will be responsible for heading up Celestica's European operations and ensuring that these operations are strategically aligned to meet their OEM customers' changing needs.
Rowan's additional responsibilities will include managing Celestica's valued customer relationships in Europe, overseeing the implementation of lean process improvements across Celestica's European facilities and ensuring pending European Union environmental legislation compliance.
Rowan brings over 15 years of industry experience, having previously served as vice president of European operations at Flextronics for five years, where he was responsible for the operational performance of the company's central European footprint. Prior to that, he was Europe's president for Altatron, where he was responsible for building the European operations. He has also held senior-management positions at International Components Corporation (ICC), and was specialist contract electronics manufacturer Electroconnect's founder, which was acquired by Prestwick Holdings in 1992.
