Cobar BV Achieves ISO/TS 16949 Certification
May 10, 2005 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
BREDA, The Netherlands — Cobar BV, a global supplier of fluxes, solder pastes and soldering materials, announces that the company has been certified to ISO/TS 16949, a milestone important to the company's automotive electronics manufacturers.
"This certification underscores Cobar's never-ending commitment to quality, which our customers have come to recognize us for, and to appreciate," says Eli Westerlaken, Cobar BV president. "It is also a testament to the terrific hard work and dedication of the Cobar staff, who have worked long and hard to reach this goal. I am very proud of their efforts and achievement."
ISO/TS 16949 is an ISO technical specification that aligns existing American (QS-9000), German (VDA6.1), French (EAQF) and Italian (AVSQ) automotive quality systems standards within the global automotive industry, aiming to eliminate the need for multiple certifications to satisfy customer requirements. Together with ISO 9001:2000, ISO/TS 16949:2002 specifies the quality system requirements for the design/development, production, installation and servicing of automotive-related products. Customer-specific requirements also exist that are required by individual subscribing vehicle manufacturers.
