Speedline Launches Lead-free SMT Manufacturing Website
April 5, 2005 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
FRANKLIN, Mass. — Speedline Technologies has launched a new Website for resource purposes in the worldwide move to lead-free SMT manufacturing. The new Website, titled, "Are you ready for the transition to lead-free manufacturing?" may be accessed by clicking here.
"As the SMT manufacturing industry's worldwide transition to lead-free soldering quickens, questions about implementation are accelerating at a similar pace," says Pierre de Villeméjane, Speedline president. "The new Website is designed to serve as a major resource of information for manufacturers, suppliers and others in the industry researching the adoption of new processes and solutions as they transition to lead-free SMT manufacturing."
de Villeméjane also says he hopes the new resource will help promote the continued forward, global progress of the transition. "We, as an industry, have a critical responsibility to our own safety and to the global environment to accomplish the lead-free mandate," he says.
