Self-lubricating Slide Guides Resist Contamination
March 24, 2005 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
BETHEL, Conn. — Tusk Direct's self-lubricating slide guides do not use ball or roller bearings, making them inert, washable and resistant to corrosive chemicals; and providing long life in dusty and dirty environments. Teflon pads bonded to the inside of the carriage minimize friction while providing sliding linear motion. 45° rail geometry ensures maximum bearing contact area, while providing smooth, quiet operation.
Offered in three rail sizes, each size is available in 7", 13", 19", 25" and 31" lengths. The ¾"-wide blocks and rails handle 50-lb dynamic loads and 100-lb static loads, while the 1"-wide blocks and rails handle 100-lb dynamic loads and 450-lb static loads. The 1¼"-wide rails handle 200-lb dynamic loads and 700-lb static loads.
