Diplan Offers Asian Solution
November 15, 2004 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
Shanghai—diplan opens an office in Shanghai and strengthens its Shenzhen operations. Because of these changes, diplan can now offer its SMT software solutions on the doorstep of many of its customers.
diplan started out 16 years ago as the developer of the Machine Data Management System software for Siemens Electronics Assembly Division's HS/SP component placement platform, and has been developing software alongside Siemens ever since. The success and global adoption of Siemens' SIPLACE platform has resulted in major growth for diplan.
"The nature of diplan's software solutions lend themselves companies who want to increase efficiency by optimizing their production," comments Mrs. Paula Li, GM, who heads up diplan's operations in China. "These are the companies that have moved to Asia to save costs in the first place and are the companies who are open-minded about new ways to improve their manufacturing performance in order to increase their competitive advantage."
