Source Electronics Standardizes Global Facilities
HOLLIS, N.H. — Source Electronics offers IC value-added services, and is one of the largest independent programming centers for integrated circuits (ICs) and related devices. In 2004, the company will program over 100 million units compared to 84 million units in 2003, making it the largest device programmer in the world, according to company projections.
Serving electronics manufacturing services providers (EMS), OEMs and semiconductor manufacturers in the electronics industry for more than a decade, the company provides IC programming, testing, lead scanning, taping-and-reeling, and materials management services. Source has facilities in Fremont, Calif.; Chihuahua and Guadalajara, Mexico; Sao Paulo and Manaus, Brazil; and Singapore.
By using the latest technologies and quality standards, the company strives to ensure total customer satisfaction. Its business comprises a list of various Fortune 500 companies, primarily servicing high-volume applications. A range of value-added solutions reduces time-to-market, lowers overall cost of ownership by eliminating excess inventory.
Source uses BP Microsystems as their exclusive supplier for device programming systems and has the capability of 600 programming sites at the New Hampshire facility alone. The company has Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) Class "0" tolerance in the facilities, enabling the processing of all class types of devices without changing processes.
"Not only do they work with end customers, Source works with their suppliers and their customers' suppliers," says Monty Reagan, international sales manager at BP Microsystems of Houston, Texas, a supplier of device programmers used at Source facilities worldwide. Asymtek Offers Customers Increased Support Resources
CARLSBAD, Calif. — Asymtek, a designer and manufacturer of automated fluid dispensing equipment for printed circuit board assembly, semiconductor package assembly, optoelectronics assembly and precision industrial manufacturing, offers customers enhanced technical support services. Asymtek's specialists are factory trained on the latest technologies and applications, and are available to lower customer costs through process optimization, preventive maintenance, upgrades and instruction.
