DEK Signs External Equipment Alliance with Dow Corning
October 29, 2004 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Flemington, N.J.—DEK and Dow Corning have recently signed an equipment alliance in an effort to maximize customer service. It is assumed that both sets of clients will benefit from the alliance through time and cost savings.
DEK USA's VP and general manager, Craig Brown, comments, "We have a long standing relationship with Dow Corning and are confident of making this alliance work. Dow Corning has been in existence for over 60 years, and we're delighted that they approached us to become one of their key external equipment suppliers. The alliance benefits both companies equally, and we're essentially aiming for DEK's equipment to reach an even wider audience in mass imaging applications."
The alliance will see Dow Corning concentrating on streamlining the integration of materials and equipment used in board-level assembly and back-end packaging, and DEK was chosen because of its expertise in stencil printing, as well as its long standing relationship with Dow Corning.
"Taking the relationship of DEK and Dow Corning to a higher level will directly benefit our customers, and that's the goal. DEK's superior technology, having one of the premier application support infrastructures in the industry, the knowledge and expertise of DEK's personnel, and their commitment to innovative thinking make DEK an ideal member of our alliance," says George Toskey, global packaging market manager.
Dow Corning has signed alliances with eight other experts in their fields. By working together, DEK and Dow Corning intend to help customers address any number of challenges, from choosing the right combination of equipment and materials for a new process to delivering turnkey production packages.
Dow Corning's global industry executive director says, "Companies need partners who understand the unique challenges they face, and who have the expertise to develop solutions that help them meet their business goals. This is exactly where Dow Corning's External Equipment Provider Alliance can help."
