Pro-mation to Attend Upcoming SMTA Long Island Event

Kenosha, Wis.—Pro-mation Inc. announces that president Gary Goldberg will be exhibiting at the SMTA's upcoming Long Island, N.Y. Chapter Tabletop Trade Show and Technical Sessions on Thursday, October 14, 2004.
The SMTA Long Island Chapter is holding its first tabletop trade show and technical conference for the benefit of the Long Island electronics community. The event will be held at the Sheraton Long Island Hotel in Hauppauge, and will showcase 50 leading electronics manufacturers' new products and processes. There will also be technical seminars held throughout the day, providing educational and application information on lead-free soldering technology.
The tabletop trade show will be open from 1:00 to 7:00 pm, and technical sessions will run from 2:00 until 3:00 pm and from 3:30 until 4:30 pm. From 2:00 to 3:00 pm, the following sessions will be presented: "Lead-free Soldering: An Overview of Assembly Challenges, Alloy Selection, Board and Component Finishes, Thermal Requirements and Flux," and Kester will present, "Selection and Process Optimization: What Is Required, Who Must Comply and Who Is Exempt." From 3:30 to 4:00 p.m., "Lead-free Reflow Profiling Thermal Requirements: What Changes Are Required, Can I Use My Existing Equipment and Minimum Number of Reflow Zones," will be presented by Heller Industries.
Admittance to the tabletop trade show and technical conference is free to all pre-registered attendees, including dinner from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. for SMTA members and everyone who is pre-registered. The Sheraton Long Island Hotel is located at 110 Vanderbilt Motor Pkwy. in Hauppauge, N.Y.
