Industry Analysts Join MEPTEC as Co-Keynote Speakers and Session Chairs for November Conference
October 7, 2004 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Mountain View, Calif.—MEPTEC, the MicroElectronics Packaging and Test Engineering Council, is pleased to announce that industry analysts Mark Stromberg and Dan Tracy will act as session chairs and moderators for its one-day technical symposium, titled "Innovations in Equipment and Materials for Microelectronic Packaging: Complexity Drives Collaboration," to be held on November 11, 2004 at the Hyatt San Jose (San Jose, Calif.) and deliver a co-keynote presentation to kick things off.
The goal of this symposium is to showcase innovative, new equipment and materials, while highlighting the necessity for collaboration of companies, throughout the supply chain, to develop these innovative products. To that end, Mark Stromberg, semiconductor equipment market analyst for Gartner/Dataquest, will give a short keynote presentation on the "Growth Prospects for Packaging and Assembly Equipment Markets," which will look at back-end equipment market growth prospects for 2004, 2005 and beyond.
As his part of the co-keynote, Dan Tracy, senior director of industry research and statistics for SEMI, will give a short presentation on the "Global Semiconductor Packaging Materials Outlook," which will discuss the revenue growth in the packaging materials market being led by advanced materials.
Stromberg will then introduce and moderate the Equipment session of the symposium, while Tracy will introduce and moderate the Materials session of the symposium. Each session chair will also give a brief summary at the end of their respective sessions, and moderate and participate in an open-forum Q&A session between attendees and presenters.
MEPTEC president, Bette Cooper, states, "We feel very fortunate to have the addition of industry experts who can double as moderators and keynote presenters. We feel that having these experts as moderators in each of the session areas will give our attendees an unbiased, more global- and industry-wide experience, while the keynote presentations will give them the benefit of the analysts forecasts in that area."
To register or learn more about the symposium, please contact Bette Cooper at (650) 988-7125 or bcooper@meptec.org, or visit MEPTEC at www.meptec.org.
