Pulse Unveils Redesigned Web Site
September 24, 2004 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
San Diego — Pulse, a Technitrol company, has unveiled its redesigned Web site, www.pulseeng.com.
The new design features all Pulse's diverse product offerings under one umbrella. The Pulse divisions are worldwide and include Consumer, Military and Aerospace, Telecom (including RF & Wireless and the Excelsus brand), LAN, and Power. The new site is a tool for researching, locating and specifying Pulse components. The product divisions are visible on tiles on the home page. One mouse click on a tile takes the user to a landing page where there are links to relevant product information, saving navigation time. The User Center contains links such as the Pulse customer extranet, a user Help function, a listing of Pulse Contacts, and the Site Map. The new Search Center consolidates in one location all of the site's search tools: Part Index, Advanced, Power Inductor, Site, and Cross Reference. The three most recent press releases are featured on the home page. The Library houses Pulse's technical papers, articles, and special publications as downloadable PDFs. The Product Section links to the Product Finder, a drill-down tool for locating components for particular applications, ending up at the product data sheet. A bulleted list of relevant links is included on every web page. This "smart navigation" minimizes the number of clicks it takes to go anywhere on the site.Pulse's primary products include inductors, transformers, chokes, splitters, filters and integrated connector modules, couplers, delay lines, and value-added custom assemblies. Configurations support a wide variety of technical applications and platforms including Ethernet, PoE, VoIP, DSL/HPN/cable, RF, wireless, MIL-STD-1553, AC/DC and DC/DC power conversion, Fibre Channel, T1, T3, ISDN, and more. Pulse offers solutions worldwide for a variety of industries including data networking, broadband/Internet access, telecommunications, power conversion, military/aerospace, and consumer electronics.Pulse, a Technitrol company, is one of the largest magnetic component manufacturers in the world.
