PFA Software Development Group Earns CMMI Level 3 Rating

Elgin, Ill. — On July 23, 2004, Carnegie Mellon's Software Engineering Institute (SEI) awarded Panasonic Factory Automation's (PFA) Software Development Group with a CMMI Level 3 (Capability Maturity Model Integration) rating.
The honor was bestowed after a review of the group's entire development process, from identifying customer needs to producing final deliverables. The certification effort was spearheaded by Musarat Faisal, PFA software development group manager.
The CMMI is a model for improving and appraising the performance of development organizations, published and developed by the Software Engineering Institute in Pittsburgh, Pa.
