August 26, 2004 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Redmond, Wash. — Three-Five Systems Inc. has named David A. Prunier as senior director and general manager of the company's new product introduction (NPI) and medical manufacturing facility here.
Prunier is an accomplished operations management professional with 23 years of high technology contract manufacturing experience. He joined TFS in September 2003 as senior director for the company's medical products business, which is expected to obtain its Class 3 medical manufacturing certification in the third quarter of this year.
Prior to joining TFS, Prunier held multiple management posts. Most recently, he was general manager for the Seattle, Wash. site operations of Plexus, a $900 million contract manufacturer. Under his tenure there, the Seattle site nearly doubled its revenue in the first year of operation and achieved the status of the most profitable and largest revenue-producing NPI site for Plexus. Prior to that, Prunier served as director of manufacturing for SCI Systems, the world's largest contract manufacturing company. In that role, Prunier was responsible for all aspects of manufacturing operations at SCI's $150 million New Hampshire division, while supporting a 500 percent sales growth over a three-year time span.
Prunier's career also includes senior operations management roles at smaller contract manufacturers, including Applied Technical Service Corp. in Bothell, Wash., and Dowty Microtechnologies and Parlex Microelectronics, both in New England.
TFS is a recognized leader in providing specialized electronics manufacturing services (EMS) to original equipment manufacturers (OEMs). For more information, visit www.tfsc.com.
