Electronica 2004 Features First-Ever Hub for Wireless Communications
August 13, 2004 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Munich, Germany — For the first time, the wireless communications sector will have its own exhibition area and user forum at electronica 2004.
Taking place at the New Munich Trade Fair Center from November 9 through12, electronica 2004 will focus on the latest wireless technology trends, including Ultra Wideband and WiMax standard.
In Hall A4, exhibitors such as ON Semiconductor, Vishay and Triquint Semiconductor will offer first-hand expertise on electronic components and solutions for WLAN and WPAN, along with solutions for mobile telephone networks, automation and logistics networks (such as M2M and RFID), embedded wireless, wireless security and other application areas.
The new Wireless Communications user forum will give developers, designers, project managers and executives access to emerging wireless trends as well as unlimited networking opportunities.
Momentum in this industry shows enormous growth as use of WLANs to surf the Internet and access data without cables is a common occurrence. More so, wireless networks now offer several possibilities for further developing this technology in terms of bandwidth and range. This new standard is giving wireline telephone networks serious competition.
Wireless networks will be the focal point of all activities in Hall A4, providing visitors with a comprehensive overview of the market and access to this segment of the electronics industry. Overall, organizers expect more than 3,000 exhibitors and 75,000 international visitors at electronica 2004.
