All Halls to be Booked for electronicAsia 2004 in Hong Kong
July 30, 2004 |Estimated reading time: 2 minutes
Hong Kong — From October 13 to 16, 2004, electronicAsia will be held here.
Organized according to the same pattern that has already proven effective, this year's event promises to continue the trade show's success. As in past years, the event is subdivided into the areas of electronic elements and assemblies, display technologies, and electronics production. The exhibitors come primarily from Hong Kong, China, Taiwan and Korea as well as from Europe and the U.S. Besides visitors from the electronics industry in the People's Republic of China, North America and Europe, the organizers are expecting developers, purchasers, and managers from Korea, Japan, India, Malaysia, Thailand and Singapore to attend.
The clearly arranged spectrum of component products being presented at electronicAsia ranges from semiconductors, sensors and microsystems to passive components, assemblies and sub systems as well as power electronics. Beyond this, the companies within the special "World of Display Technology" show are exhibiting trends for displays used with computers, TVs or telephones, such as LEDs and LCDs, and they are offering components as well as equipment for the production of displays. The third area of electronicAsia focuses on equipment and logistics for the manufacturing of semiconductors, assemblies, PCBs or microsystems technology. In their portfolio of offerings for the visitors from Southeast Asia, the exhibitors also have the appropriate service offerings, ED/EDA and test equipment.
As is the case every year, the Hong Kong Electronics Fair is being held in the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center in parallel with electronicAsia. With approximately 2,000 exhibitors and more than 48,000 visitors, this event is Asia's largest consumer electronics fair, and it generates additional interest for the trade show, which offers the components required for the final products.
In 2003, electronicAsia offered space for more than 550 exhibitors with an exhibition area of 14.250 m2. With 28,000 attendees from the field of electronics, the event recorded a 75 percent growth rate in participation and the largest number of visitors since the event was first held. For electronicAsia 2004, the organizers — Munich International Trade Fairs and the Hong Kong Trade Development Council — expressed great confidence.
Since its premiere in 1997, electronicAsia has been one of the most important exhibitions for the Southeast Asian electronics industry. It is the No 1 place to go for those who develop electronics and purchase electronic components and not only want to gain information about new products, but also want to place specific orders. Furthermore, electronicAsia is the annual meeting place for Southeast Asian, European and American managers and decision makers who want to make new business contacts and assess new markets.
