FlexLink Launches '30/30' Challenge
July 29, 2004 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
Allentown, Pa. — FlexLink Systems has issued a challenge to manufacturers: "Give us 30 minutes of your time and we'll show you how we can increase your efficiency by 30 percent or more." The company says that 30 percent capacity utilization in a machine line is still a common figure. Adding premises, operators and production supervision systems into the equation, a great improvement potential exists throughout the manufacturing industry. FlexLink's 30/30 challenge promises to show customers — in as little as 30 minutes — how they can increase production efficiency across a wide range of manufacturing disciplines by 30 percent or more. The total efficiency of a production line, particularly in a sequential layout, is too often much lower than the nominal capacity of each machine. FlexLink's 30/30 program is outlined in the company's latest eight-page four-color FlexLink News, available for download (PDF) at www.flexlink.com, with a link to the newsletter on the home page. The newsletter explains the program, why it works, and cites case histories of how FlexLink customers have dramatically increased production efficiency through strategic integration and dynamic systems planning utilizing reconfigurable manufacturing solutions and others.Since 1980, FlexLink has been a recognized leading global supplier of innovative automation solutions for assembly and manufacturing processes.
