July 15, 2004 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
LaFox, Ill. — Richardson Electronics has signed a distribution agreement with ABRACON Corp.
Under the terms of the agreement, Richardson will operate as worldwide distributor for ABRACON's complete line of frequency control and magnetic products for the following markets:
- Wired and wireless communications
- Automotive and industrial technology
- Consumer and data processing.
According to Richardson, ABRACON's business model and its engineering staff and long-term strategic partnerships with key Asian manufacturers make it a key supplier of competitively priced quality products. ABRACON will provide Richardson customers with a complete and flexible electronic component manufacturer that can accommodate a customer's time-to-market and time-to-volume production needs.
ABRACON says it has been looking for the type of distributor that Richardson Electronics RF & Wireless Communications is, with its 70 locations worldwide, to market the company's frequency control and magnetic components. ABRACON adds that unlike many distributors, Richardson has technical expertise in RF applications and can assist throughout the design process.
Launched in 1999, Richardson's online catalog has gained popularity among its users by providing a global marketplace with access to products and information. A selection of ABRACON's most popular product combinations now will be accessible through Richardson's online catalog. Each product will be given a pictorial display, accompanied by a complete written description that highlights benefits and pricing. For more information, visit www.catalog.rell.com.
