Intelicoat Awarded ISO 9001:2000 Certification for its North Carolina Facility

Matthews, N.C. — InteliCoat Technologies has earned certification to ISO 9001:2000 quality system standards for its facility here and the coated products it produces.
The certification covers the plant's procedures, processes and quality planning, as well as continual improvement programs. Efforts to comply with the new standard began in early 2003.The plant underwent a series of visits and reviews covering all phases of the operation conducted by independent auditors from SGS.
InteliCoat's Matthews plant was first certified ISO 9000-compliant in 1994. Certification to the newer, higher benchmark will last for one year. Follow-up external audits of the plant will be held at six-month intervals. InteliCoat also will conduct internal audits.
