Windows XP Becomes Standard on BP Microsystems Automated Machines
June 30, 2004 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
Houston — BP Microsystems is standardizing its automated product offering on the Windows XP operating system platform.
All automated equipment sold from June 1, 2004, will ship exclusively with Windows XP unless otherwise requested. The move capitalizes on the improved stability of the Windows operating system over the last five years.Along with the standardization of XP on the automated machine platform, BP Microsystems will be upgrading the standard computer hardware offered on all new automated machines to match the requirements of XP. This increased standard will not impact the selling price of new automated systems. An upgrade package is available on some existing systems, and pricing can be obtained from BP Microsystems. Established in 1985, BP Microsystems is a global supplier of electronic device programmers for all applications. For more information, visit www.bpmicro.com.
