Elcoteq to Evaluate Strengthening of Shareholder Equity and Combining Share Series

Helsinki, Finland — The Board of Directors of Elcoteq Network Corp. has decided to start evaluating options for strengthening the company's shareholders' equity as part of the its growth and globalization strategy.
At the same time, the Board will initiate another analysis on the possibilities for combining the current two share series so that Series K shares will be converted into Series A shares. Elcoteq's unlisted Series K shares, numbering a total of 10,577,000 and all held by the company's three principal owners, carry 10 times higher voting rights than the Helsinki-listed Series A shares. The number of Series A shares is 19,861,227. Elcoteq Network Corp. is one of the largest electronics manufacturing services (EMS) companies in the communications technology field.
