AMS Relocates to Larger Manufacturing Facilities

Okemah, Okla. — To support its expanding full service, end-to-end contract manufacturing services to the defense and aviation industries, AMS (American Manufacturing Services) has moved to significantly larger facilities here, a Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone).
According to the company, the new, state-of-the art, 40,000 sq ft manufacturing, engineering and testing facility will enable AMS to substantially increase overall capacity, as well as achieve AS9100 Compliance, which was not possible in their previous Okemah location. A Preferred Supplier to aerospace manufacturer Goodrich, AMS' capabilities are suitable to such electronics industry sectors as industrial, commercial, healthcare, computer and test equipment.In its new location, AMS' 35 employees specialize in high-complexity, high-reliability, and high-mix contracts. Included within the broad range of manufacturing services offered are through-hole (THT) assembly, PCB to chassis assembly, cable assemblies, and full system integration. The company now also offers conformal coating and painting capabilities. In conjunction with the resources of its sister company, ADI American Distributors Inc., production and test engineering, quality engineering, manufacturing design optimization, long-term repair, and engineering support services is available. Specifically for the aerospace and defense industry, AMS offers a proprietary In Service Management System to address electronics obsolescence throughout products' lifecycle. The system uses information technology tools and techniques developed to minimize obsolescence resolution costs. Moreover, due to its ADI affiliation, the company employs state-of-the-industry documented, controlled systems to satisfy total control and quality requirements, and uses next-generation information, and communication systems to supply real-time data.
