BP Microsystems Enters Program with Chinese Government
June 15, 2004 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
Houston — BP Microsystems has begun to implement a program in conjunction with the Chinese government to strengthen BP's presence in the Asian marketplace.
BP Microsystems sees the significant opportunities to penetrate into international and domestic OEMs and EMS markets within China. This program was set up by the Ministry of Information and Industry (MII) to help companies with superior technologies integrate in to the Chinese electronics marketplace. It includes support from national and local government agencies as well as working hand in hand with the local chapters of the Chinese SMTA.
In addition to having an office operating in Hong Kong, BP Microsystems has two distributors strategically located in Shenzhen (Pearl River Delta) and Shanghai (Yangtze River Delta) to market and sell its products. These locations also are set up to provide technical support and service to the local customer base. BP Microsystems is planning to set up additional technical support service centers in China in the near future to back its products currently sold in this region.
