Sharpe Resigns from Cookson Group plc; Accepts new Industry Post

Providence, R.I. — Cookson Group plc announces that Raymond P. Sharpe has resigned as a director and will leave the company for a position within the private equity sector.
Sharpe, who is also chief executive of the Electronics division, has agreed with the Board of Cookson to continue to assist the company as required for a short period. Cookson Group Chief Executive Stephen Howard will assume direct responsibility for the Electronics division with immediate effect.
