FlexLink Plans Press Conference, Hourly Presentations at MD&M East

Allentown, Pa. — FlexLink Systems will host a press conference at MD&M East, billed as the world's largest trade show for medical device manufacturing, on Tuesday, June 15, 2004, at 2 p.m. in the FlexLink exhibit booth, #2659 at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
The purpose of the press conference is to introduce FlexLink's Reconfigurable Manufacturing Solution known as DAS (Dynamic Assembly System), a modular, "plug- and play" system that can be adapted to manual assembly processes or fully automated lines.In addition to the press conference, Systems Engineers Ken Lento and Jorgen Hedstrom will offer hourly 10- to15-minute presentations on FlexLink's DAS and its applicability to the medical device manufacturing industry. Issues such as FDA compliance and validation, full traceability, clean room capability, and other issues supported and facilitated by DAS will be discussed, with attendant video and graphics presentations. Question and answer periods will follow. DAS is one of FlexLink's many offerings to the medical device industry, where there is a high need for managing production data.DAS can be applied from interactive component supply control, modular assembly and test lines with production buffers to packaging as well as automatic palletizing. Assembly flow management software initiates production as well as production statistics, capacity allocation and route control through a dynamic link.
