Technical Devices Reports First Quarter Results
April 21, 2004 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
Torrance, Calif. — Technical Devices Co. has seen substantial growth across the board during the first quarter of 2004.
Bookings are up 80 percent from the same period of last year and shipments are up 53 percent. Another key indicator that business is improving is an increase in the backlog of 200 percent. Technical Devices has expanded its workforce and has increased its sales and service network to include more than 75 representatives worldwide.
While wave soldering sales have increased steadily, the sale of inline cleaners has had tremendous growth. Technical Devices has gained a significant market share in the cleaning industry by providing cleaners for new applications such as glass lens cleaning and auto parts cleaning in addition to expanding its customer base for circuit board cleaning. nother area of substantial growth is through Technical Devices' exclusive distribution of the EVS solder recovery system. This is due in large part to a move toward lead free manufacturing. This trend in manufacturing also accounts for the increase in lead free solder pots being sold by Technical Devices.
Continued growth in all areas is forecasted for next quarter based on current sales leads and expectations.
