Vitronics Soltec Hosts French Customers at Two-Day Reflow Seminar in New Headquarters

Oosterhout, The Netherlands — Vitronics Soltec recently hosted 30 top French customers for a two-day seminar on lead-free soldering at the company's new manufacturing facility here.
The seminar, entitled "Make the Right Connection in Lead-Free Soldering," included a dynamic presentation by Claude Wehrung, "How Can Changeover To Lead-Free Reflow Impact Your Productivity?" as well as "Other Lead-Free Factors: Quality, Finishes, Process Changes" by well-known lead-free soldering expert and author Gerjan Diepstraten, and "myReflow — The Solution to Maintaining Line Speed and Productivity" by George Bouvier. Upon arrival, the customers were treated to a luncheon and greeted by Vitronics Soltec President Jeroen Schmits, and were given a factory tour of the company's new facility, applications laboratory and demonstration room. In addition to technical/process issues, the French guests also saw the economic side of lead-free transitioning in "Overview of The 5 Steps to Lead-free Soldering" by Udo Korsmit.
