Kester's Munie Chosen as Technical Conference Director for ECWC 10
April 6, 2004 |Estimated reading time: 1 minute
Des Plaines, Ill. — Gregory Munie, Ph.D. of Kester has been chosen to act as technical conference director for Electronic Circuits World Convention (ECWC) 10.
Hosted by IPC — Association Connecting Electronics Industries, ECWC 10 will take place February 21 through 24, 2005, in conjunction with its co-located IPC SMEMA Council's APEX/IPC Printed Circuits Expo/IPC Designers Summit exhibition in Anaheim, Calif.
Every three years, the World Electronics Circuits Council (WECC), an international group of related industry trade associations, organizes the ECWC event that creates an outlet for the latest research and innovation by providing a forum for the interchange of technical and management concepts used on a worldwide basis. This event, which attracts premier international technologists, rotates around the world as different members of WECC are approved as host organizations. IPC was approved as host of ECWC 10 by the other WECC member associations.
Munie's responsibilities will be to lead a program committee for ECWC made up of delegates from each WECC country/area (China, Europe, Hong Kong, India, Japan, Korea and the United States). The program committee will review all papers submitted and accept some for full presentation, and others for poster presentations. Munie's previous experience as program committee chair for the co-located APEX/IPC Printed Circuits Expo/IPC Designers Summit will help facilitate the ECWC program committee deliberations.
