Rogers Joins Lord Board of Directors

Cary, N.C. — James P. Rogers, executive vice president of Eastman Chemical Co. and president of Eastman Division, has joined the Board of Directors for Lord Corp
Graduating with high distinction and Phi Beta Kappa from the University of Virginia in 1973 with a bachelor of arts in psychology, Rogers served in the United States Navy as a naval aviator from 1973 through 1980 and achieved the rank of lieutenant. Upon completing his military service, Rogers received an MBA in 1983 from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.
Rogers has held prominent positions in many of the nation's premier companies, including Morgan Guaranty Trust Co. and Amphenol Corp., as well as vice president and chief financial officer for the GAF Corp./International Specialty Product, Inc. He then served as executive vice president, finance of International Specialty Products, an $800 million NYSE-traded specialty chemicals company before joining Eastman in 1999. Rogers also serves on the Board of Directors for Genencor International Inc., a NASDAQ company.
Since its formation in 1924, Lord Corp. has built a leadership role in a variety of industries. With sales in excess of $440 million, the privately held company designs, manufactures and markets devices and systems to manage mechanical motion and control noise and vibration; formulates, produces and sells general purpose and specialty adhesives and polyurethane coatings; and develops products and systems utilizing magnetically responsive technologies.
