March 2, 2004 |Estimated reading time: Less than a minute
Carlsbad, Calif. — Delphi Mechatronics Systems, a world leader in mobile electronics, transportation components and systems technology, has selected Asymtek and Nordson's conformal coating systems to equip its Foley, Ala. facility.
Delphi manufactures automotive and consumer electronics for such corporations as BMW, Ford, GM and GE. Using the Asymtek Century C-740 and Nordson Select Coat systems equipped with Easy Coat for Windows NT (ECNT) software, Delphi applies a wide range of conformal coatings, including 100 percent solids UV curable polyurethane, 100 percent solids moisture cure silicone and solvent-borne acrylics. Delphi says that program creation and debug time has been reduced from days to hours. One of their Nordson machines has been in steady production for approximately 10 years.
Delphi was also impressed with the quality of Asymtek/Nordson's technical support. The company conducts its multi-national business operations through various subsidiaries and has headquarters in Troy, Mich.; Paris; Tokyo; and Sao Paulo, Brazil. Their integrated systems and modules are designed to help simplify vehicle manufacturers' processes and meet the demands of today's high-tech vehicles.
Asymtek supplies award-winning automated fluid dispensing systems, specializing in semiconductor, surface mount and electronics packaging applications. For more information, visit www.asymtek.com.
