Herndon, Va. — The National Electronics Manufacturing Initiative (NEMI) has added three new members.
Dell Inc. of Round Rock, Texas; Endicott Interconnect Technologies of Endicott, N.Y.; and Senju Comtek Corp. of San Jose, Calif. are the latest companies to join this industry-led consortium's efforts to strengthen the global electronics manufacturing supply chain. The group is defining issues that could be addressed effectively through industry collaboration by the development/adoption of standards and the sharing of best practices. Several new projects are being formed to address such things as assembly process standards, component and board marking (including part number change management); component supply chain readiness (including component availability); and methods for disclosing and exchanging material composition information.
